Use of considerthemarket.com without having registered or being logged in.

Without being logged in, you can only search through the listed items.

For everything else you need to be a registered user and logged in.

 

1.) Registering an account.

Click on the Register option on the front / home page.  Choose a memorable user name and enter it in the USERNAME box. Then provide your email address in the EMAIL box. Click Register now button. You will then get a green text message on the screen in front of you if the account has been successfully created. That message will vanish after a few moments and you will be returned to the front page and will be logged in. You will see your username towards the right hand side at the top of the page.

If you did not succeed in creating account. Follow the relevant advice provided in the message that was displayed, then try again.

You can now update your profile information.

 

1.a) Initially setting a memorable password.

When you first register with considerthemarket.com if all goes well the system will log you in and generate a password for you that you will need next time you want to log in. The system will have emailed you a record of this password. If you would rather set your own password you can choose the profile option from the drop down menu under your username on the home page, top of the screen on the right. On the left hand column of your profile there is a NEW PASSWORD: box. Enter your new password in there, then enter this new password again exactly as you just have done in the REPEAT NEW PASSWORD box. (Follow the hint advice when choosing your password.) Once you have entered your new password into the two boxes, then click the UPDATE INFO button below the ADDRESS: box at the bottom of the page and you have now successfully changed your password.

 

2.) Completing or editing your profile.

Once you are logged in you can go to your profile by hovering over your username from the top of the page on the right, then choose profile from the drop down menu. You can add what info you want. Nothing other than your email and username are required at this time though so it is up to you. Information that you list in the biographical box will be visible to anyone who looks at your profile on the considerthemarket site. You can visit the profile page and edit it at any time as long as you are logged in. Just remember to click the Update Info button at the bottom of the page when you are done.

 

3.) Changing your password.

If you know your password but want to change it for any reason, log into your account and choose the profile option from the drop down menu under your username on the home page, top of the screen on the right. On the left hand column of your profile there is a NEW PASSWORD: box. Enter your new password in there, then enter this new password again exactly as you just have done in the REPEAT NEW PASSWORD box. (Follow the hint advice when choosing your password.) Once you have entered your new password into the two boxes, then click the UPDATE INFO button below the ADDRESS: box at the bottom of the page and you have now successfully changed your password.

 

4.) Forgotten your password when you are logged in.

If you are logged in but realise you have forgotten your password, the way to resolve this is to create a new password. As you are already logged in you can do the following; choose the profile option from the drop down menu under your username on the home page, top of the screen on the right. On the left hand column of your profile there is a NEW PASSWORD: box. Enter your new password in there, then enter this new password again exactly as you just have done in the REPEAT NEW PASSWORD box. (Follow the hint advice when choosing your password.) Once you have entered your new password into the two boxes, then click the UPDATE INFO button below the ADDRESS: box at the bottom of the page and you have now successfully changed your password.

 

5.) Forgotten your password when you are logged out.

If you have forgotten your password and you are currently not logged into your considerthemarket account, you will need to choose the ? Forgot Password option from the top right of the home page. Then you will need to enter your username or your email address you provided when you setup your account with us, then click the Send Password button.  Provided you have entered the correct information you will receive a message advising you a password reset has been sent to your email address. Please check your email and your spam filter and follow the intructions in the email in order to sort your email issue out.

 

6.) Listing an Item.

Choose the create new listing option from the top right of the page.

First thing to do is choose the appropriate category by just clicking on it. If there is not a suitable category for your item, then use the contact us page to learn how to reach out to us and send us a request to create a suitable new category for you, if we can, we will.

Fill out the title section. Just put in a title you think most people searching may look under. Please do not include misleading words.

Fill out the description section.

In additional info box put the price or price range you would be looking for.

Address section. Do not put your full address or even your street address. Just put the nearest village or town name in. you can always disclose an exact address to an interested party further down the line via message etc.

Then upload your images by dragging and dropping or use the click to select photos option. You cannot upload a picture larger than 2MB each.

You will then need to tick the box next to the I have read the terms and conditions and accept them  the click on the SUBMIT LISTING button at the bottom of the page.

 

7.) Editing a listing.

In order to edit a listing you need to be logged in. You then need to go to your profile via your username on the top right of the screen. You can then choose the My Listings option on the left hand side of the screen. You will then have a list of your listed items. To edit a listing, click on the grey pencil icon in order to make corrections. Make your corrections on the listings page then when done click the UPDATE INFO button at the bottom of the page.

 

8.) Re publishing an expired listing.

In order to re-publish an expired listing, you need to be logged in. You then need to go to your profile via your username on the top right of the screen. You can then choose the My Listings option on the left hand side of the screen. You will then have a list of your listed items. To re-publish the relevant listing, click on the RENEW button.

 

9.) Turn a listing on or off.

In order to re-publish an expired listing, you need to be logged in. You then need to go to your profile via your username on the top right of the screen. You can then choose the My Listings option on the left hand side of the screen. You will then have a list of your listed items. If the listing has expired it is already not showing on the site. If the listing is live then you can click on the power button at the bottom of the listing which is next to the number of views your item has had. Click it to turn the listing off. Click it again to turn the listing back on.

 

10.) Delete a listing.

In order to re-publish an expired listing, you need to be logged in. You then need to go to your profile via your username on the top right of the screen. You can then choose the My Listings option on the left hand side of the screen. You will then have a list of your listed items. In order to delete the listing click on the red button with the trash bin icon for the relevant listing.

 

11.) Messaging another user.

When you are logged in and see a listing you are interested in discussing, you can begin messaging the person with the listing by clicking on the item so you are in the full detailed listing. There will be a green Send Message button in the top right of the screen. You can then use the message system which is like a basic email system to communicate with the person listing the item.
